VPN for travel

VPN for
travel

Hotel, airport and café Wi-Fi is shared with strangers. IPHush encrypts your connection wherever you are, and lets you choose the location your services see.

VPN for travel: how IPHush helps

Any country

IPHush works from any country with internet access. Follow the law where you are.

Encrypted on any Wi-Fi

WireGuard encryption between your device and our routers, on every network you join.

Your services from home

Choose one of 57 locations, for example your home country.

Hotel TV

A small travel router with IPHush covers the hotel TV and every device in the room. How.

How IPHush works when you travel

On a hotel, airport or café network, everyone shares the same Wi-Fi and the network owner sees where your devices connect. With IPHush on, everything from your phone or laptop goes through an encrypted WireGuard tunnel to one of our routers, so the network you are on sees only that you talk to IPHush. DNS questions are answered by our own resolvers inside the tunnel, and IPHush keeps no connection logs.

You choose the location the world sees. Pick your home country to reach your bank and your services as if you were at home, or pick a location near you for the best speed. IPHush has 57 locations in 45 countries, all included in every plan.

Sign-up needs no name and no email: a 16-digit account number is your login. A new phone needs nothing but the app and the same number; there is nothing to pay again. Keep the number safe, and add an email to the account if you want to be able to sign in with a code when the number is lost.

For a hotel or holiday-home TV, take a small travel router such as a GL.iNet with IPHush: connect it to the hotel network, then connect the TV and your devices to it. A router counts as one connection; Family and Pro include one.

Before and during the trip

  1. Install before you leave

Install IPHush on your phone and set up your laptop at home, where the network is yours. Download.

  2. Save your account number

It is your login. Keep it somewhere safe, away from the phone.

  3. Connect on every new Wi-Fi

Join the hotel or airport Wi-Fi, accept its page if it shows one, then tap Connect.

  4. Pick the location

Your home country for home services, or a location near you for speed.

  5. If the network blocks VPNs

Use the HTTPS proxy on port 8443 with a proxy login from your account.

Using a VPN is legal in most countries, but the law is not the same everywhere: follow the law where you are and the acceptable use policy. If a website shows the wrong country, clear its cookies and turn off browser location. If the time on your device is wrong after a flight, set date and time to automatic.

VPN for travel: questions

Does IPHush work abroad?

Yes, from any country with internet access. Install it before you leave and sign in with your account number.

Is using a VPN legal where I travel?

In most countries, yes, but the law is not the same everywhere. Follow the law where you are and the acceptable use policy.

What if a network blocks VPNs?

Use the HTTPS proxy on port 8443 with a proxy login from your account.

Connected, but no website opens. What now?

Turn off other VPN or proxy apps, set the date and time to automatic, try a nearby location and connect again.

Can I use my bank from abroad?

Choose a location in your home country. On Pro, a dedicated IP gives you an address only your account uses.

What about the TV in the hotel room?

A small travel router with IPHush covers it: connect the router to the hotel network and the TV to the router.

I lost my phone on the trip. Is my account gone?

No. Sign in on a new phone with the same account number. With an email on the account, you can also sign in with a code sent to it.

Does my plan work in every country I visit?

Yes. A plan is not tied to the country you are in, and every plan includes all 57 locations.

Can I pay or renew from abroad?

Yes: by card through the secure checkout of Stripe, or with the USDC stablecoin. You can also keep a prepaid balance in US dollars that never expires, so renewal does not depend on your card working abroad.

How many of my devices can I take?

3 at once on Personal, 8 on Family and 25 on Pro. A travel router counts as one, whatever is connected to it.
